Smaller than a drinking straw

They are not even as wide as a drinking straw
1-2cm at most
How can new life pass through them?
I am still baffled by reproductive anatomy
And in awe of the miracle that occurs

It is the 4th one
December 2006
October 2007
April 2012
July 2013

The 1st traumatic
The 2nd just shock & more questions
The 3rd physically painful and emotionally numb
The 4th the longest loss ever…2 weeks and counting
“Just take them out”

My faith is shaken
1 friend truly understands, others try
“Keep trying”
“Pray” they all say

What next?
1 miracle lives & brings continuous joy
But there is still a longing…
Still lots of questions…
And no real good answers of why

My Story: My Ectopic Pregnancy

Although at first it might feel a little scary or frightening to put your story out there (at least I know it did for me), I want to encourage you to take a chance and do it!  Believe me when I say that I am glad I did, and it makes me feel excited that another woman will benefit from my words and experiences.

Participating in our on-line survey is your first step on this journey.  Here is the link:

The Million Moms Challenge

We support The Millions Moms Challenge.  Please read below and consider joining this cause and/or sharing the link.

The Million Moms Challenge seeks to engage a million Americans with millions of moms in the developing world facing issues impacting pregnancy, childbirth and children's health.

Our first challenge is a big one! If we find 100,000 people who sign on to the Million Moms Challenge, Johnson & Johnson will donate a total of $100,000 to several of the biggest NGOs helping moms and babies throughout the world.

I hope you will join me.

The Million Moms Challenge is a joint venture between ABC News and the UN Foundation in conjunction with Baby Center and world-class partners around the world, including many NGOs.

You don't have to be a mom to help a mom, you just have to be one in a million.

I hope you'll join me now:

Ectopic Pregnancy Survey

We are launching our survey to help us begin to collect stories about women who have experienced at least 1 ectopic pregnancy.  If you are interested in sharing your story and in being part of a larger project (human service study and book), please click on the link to take the pre-screening survey. Thank you!

Ectopic pregnancies occur in approximately 2% of all pregnancies in the U.S.  Help shed light on the issue of ectopic pregnancies by sharing your story of hope and survival with other women.
